ABOUT US

SO YOU WOULD LIKE TO KNOW MORE ABOUT US...

  • Hook & Southborough is the oldest bowling club in the borough. It was formed at a meeting on the 17th May 1905. read more..
  • We have roll ups on Tuesday afternoons at 2.30pm and Friday evenings at 6pm. (5.30pm from August to September). Roll ups are when the club members meet up to play and practice together.
  • Members are welcome to use the green at any time to practice or play matches as long as there is no green maintenance taking place and rinks are not all being used for matches etc.
  • We have a policy of social inclusion in place and positively welcome players of all ages and abilities.
  • We play friendly matches both at home and away against many local clubs in and around the Kingston and Surrey area. Our members also play in the Kingston & District Mixed League, Racal Decca Mixed League, Louisa Smith’s League (Ladies), West Surrey League (Men’s), and Evening Mixed Triples League. We organise internal club competitions which run throughout the season for members of all abilities to participate in.
  • Club members can also play in competitions organised by Surrey.
  • The club organises various social events like Quiz Evenings and Race Nights for members to take part in throughout the year.
  • We also have a licensed bar for members and their guests to relax in after playing or during social event. The deck overlooking the green is especially nice to sit down, relax with friends on summer days or evenings.
